A Japanese six-leaf screen painted in sumi, colour and gofun on buff paper with a continuous scene of a cockerel perched on rockwork beside a wicker fence and flowering peony below a blossoming cherry tree, a hen and two chicks on the bank of a stream to one side, all between wide bands of gold clouds (damages) -- each leaf 69¾in. x 25½in., signed Yasusada, one seal, 18th century.
