The History of The Football Association records that "Two special matches were fixed - Football League XI v. Combined Welsh and Irish XI at Everton on May 11th, and an England XI v. An Anglo-Scots XI at Highbury on May 8th and to all the players who participated The Football Association presented a special silver souvenir.
