A famille rose octagonal bough pot with slightly domed pierced cover and rope handles painted and gilt with shaped panels of a phoenix, a cockerel and hen and further birds and butterflies among flowers and rockwork on a ground of scrolling lotus flowers and leaves moulded in relief with tree shrews among fruiting branches, the domed foot rim and cover with stylised scrolling flowers on a yellow ground (chip to cover, star crack to base) -- 9¼in. high.
