An Imari baluster jar and related domed cover with shishi and rockwork finial, painted and gilt with shaped panels of peony issuing from pierced blue rockwork below hydrangea flowersprays, alternating with panels of chrysanthemum flowers and scrolls on a blue ground, the neck painted with stylised flowersprays and fruitsprays on an iron-red ground (damages) -- 24½in.high, 17th/18th century.
