Reputedly the property of Miss Anna Maria Dacres, later Mrs Adams who was dresser and later wet nurse to the daughters of George III

This is an archaic form of English Court Dress reserved for the Royal Family, or their immediate attendants on the most formal court occassions. This dress would only be appropriate for a doll belonging to a member of the Royal Family or their immediate circle.
