A William IV fluted shaped circular swing-handled fruit bowl applied with a die-stamped openwork trailing vine border and on a rising shaped circular foot, the centre with slightly later presentation inscription: "To Martha and Ann Dobree by desire of Harriet Dobree (wife of William Brock) who fell asleep in Jesus at Guernsey Monday 29th. Septr. 1834. after my decease I wish you to purchase for my dear Sisters, a small piece of Plate commemorative of the love I bear them, and in token of my gratitude for their tried affection for me on all occasions, but more especially for their devotedness to me during our stay in Madeira.
