A green-painted tester bed, of Louis XVI style, with padded head, foot ends and domed tester covered in ivory and blue chintz, the head and foot with gadrooned serpentine top-rail, ribbon-twist edge panel, flanked by pierced fluting columns with leaf finials, the rails carved with entwined scrolls and ribbon twists and centred by a panel of ribbon-tied laurel on turned tapering fluted legs lacking box spring, headboard -- 50½in. (128.5cm.) high, 70in. (178cm.) wide, 90in. (229cm.) long.
