A late 18th century mahogany eight day longcase clock, the arched hood with fluted column uprights and dentil moulded cornice, the engraved brass Roman and Arabic dial with subsiduary seconds ring and calender aperture, signed William Avenell, Portsmouth Common, decorated with an eagle to the arch and within foliate spandrels on a plain trunk and plinth -- 80½in. (204.5cm.) high.
