An unusual ivory and horn chess set, with ring turned baluster pieces, the knights with horses' heads, the rooks as turrets, possibly 18th century -- king 2½in. (6.4cm.), pawn 1½in. (3.8cm.); with an Anglo Indian sandalwood and ivory mounted casket.
