HMS 'Princess Royal' was a battle cruiser launched in 1911. She took part in actions off Heligoland 1914, Dogger Bank 1915 and at Jutland 1916. She was sold out of the Navy in 1922

A gilded bronze lion's head, mounted on a wooden shield with brass plaque ingraved 'Taken off Launch belonging to HMS Princess Royal, Feb 25th, with was wrecked off Barna Feb 22nd 1913 -- 14in (35.5cm) high
