A well presented wooden fully rigged and planked static display model of the 82 gun warship 'Sovereign of the Seas' of circa 1637. --35 x 42in (89.9 x 106.7cm).
With bound masts, yards, standing and running rigging and deck details including horse figurehead, hair rails, cat heads, anchors with bound wooden stocks, belaying rails and pins, canopied ship's bell, upper deck guns in carriages, capstan, gratings, companionways, bilge pumps, stern lantern and other details. The planked hull has open gun ports with decorated stern and quarter galleries, finished in blue and varnish. Glazed case and stand.
