A detailed ½in : 1 ft scale planked and framed fully rigged model of H.M. brig 'Martin', circa 1840, built by D.Berrill. -- 16½ x 22in, (42 x 56cm).
With masts, yards with stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging and deck details including carved animal figurehead, anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads, bitts, gratings, companionways, capstan, belaying rails and pins, ship's wheel and tiller and ten guns in carriages and other details. The hull finished in black, white, venetian red and varnish has quarter cabin windows and decorated hair rails. Stand, glazed case.
