A sailors waterline picture model of the Inman Line steam/sail cargo passenger ship S.S.'City of Berlin' of 1875. With masts, spars, rigging and full suit of sails set in a starboard reach and deck details including female figurehead, deck rails, capstan, walkways, hatches, ventilators, stayed funnel belching cotton wool smoke and ten life boats in davits. Finished in pink, black, varnish and white, mounted on a carved and moulded painted seascape with lighthouse. Inlaid glazed case. --25½ x 24¾ (64.8 x 62.8cm)
