A fine fully rigged bone and horn model of a 124 gun Man-of-War --19 x 29in (48.2 x 73.6cm)
With masts and spars, full standing and running rigging with scale blocks and deck details including carved warrior figurehead, hair rails, anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads, windlass, belaying rails, companionways, deck rails, carved hammock nettings, gratings, stove pipes, ship's bell with canopy over, water barrels and upper and main deck guns in carriages, two ship's boats. The planked and pinned hull has horn strakes, bulwarks decorated with carved dolphins, carved quarter galleries and carved decorative stern detailing. Mounted on two bone columns on ebony and bone base on four carved feet.
