Lot Essay
The British screw steamer Hindoo (II) was ordered for the Wilson Line's North Atlantic service and built for them by Stephenson's of Newcastle in 1889. Registered at 3,720 tons (gross), she measured 368.5 feet in length and had a 43 foot beam. Sold to German owners in 1905, although they retained her name she is not recorded after 1907.
