An Indian sabre with watered curved single-edged blade, gold inscription and date on one side, engraved quillons and beaked horn grip, in original iron-mounted leather covered wooden scabbard (incomplete), dated 1827; a Persian shamshir with fullered single-edged blade decorated with panels of chiselled calligraphy on each side at the forte, in original iron-mounted scabbard decorated with silver damascening -- 37½.in.long; another with curved blade (pitted) -- 34¼.in.long; a Persian all-steel sword, the waved blade decorated with gold damascening on both sides at the forte (all in worn condition) -- 34¾.in.long.
