A Liverpool (Christian's) fluted oviform teapot and flattened domed cover, the spout terminating with scroll moulding, painted and gilt in a Chinoiserie style with a version of the Beckoning Chinaman pattern, the reverse with an Oriental lady and child between rockwork amon sprays of flowers (minute chips to spout and finial, firing fault at rim, wear to gilt and enamels), circa 1770 -- 6¼in. high
