Two Meissen (Marcolini) fable decorated plates, painted in colours to the centre with vignettes, one representing a scene from the Lion and the Mouse, the other from the Woodcutter, within scrolling gilt suspending sprigs of flowers, the green chequed border below shaped gilt dentil rims (some restoration to the rims, minute scratches and wear), titled to the reverse in French, blue crossed swords and star marks, Pressnummern, circa 1800 -- 9½in. diam.
