A Kashan cobalt blue and lustre dish of shallow rounded form with everted rim on a short foot, the interior with panels of scrolling and arabesque motifs around a central roundel depicting a mounted huntsman, the rim with lobed motifs, the cobalt underside with bold naskh calligraphy (repaired) -- 10¼in. diam, 13th Century.
