A William IV Irish melon-fluted compressed moulded circular teapot on shell and scrolling foliate feet, with a floral and foliate-chased rising curved spout, foliate and berry-decorated scroll handle, applied everted rim and fluted domed hinged cover with flower finial, the body decorated with flowers and foliage and with two C-scroll cartouches, one engraved with a crest, the other later-applied with a vacant cartouche, maker's mark indistinct, Dublin 1835 - 5¾in., 30oz.
