An oak, elm, grained and painted tester bed, the tester with entrelac frieze and deeply panelled beneath, the central scroll-decorated panel with lion mask angles, the corner panels painted with interlaced foliate scrolls, the headboard with a pair of flower-painted panels above a cornice and a pair of panels painted with architectural capriccios, imitating marquetry, flanked by produce-bearing figures, the baluster front posts with composite capitals, entrelac-carved shafts and stepped fluted column supports, some re-decoration, alterations, English, 17th century and later -- 90in. (229cm.) long, 71in. (180in.) wide, 102½in. (260cm.) high.
