A French 19th Century silver-gilt baluster chalice on a gadrooned and foliate-chased domed circular foot chased with cherub's masks, vines, corn and bullrushes, the knop decorated with stylised shells, flower heads and C-scrolls, the inverted bell-shaped bowl with an applied openwork frieze pierced with vines, corn and bullrushes and with three oval vignettes of Faith, Hope and Charity - 10½in., 12.25oz.
