An evening dress in early 18th century style, probably a fancy dress, of blue-grey striped net over yellow satin-finished cotton, the open robe trained, the petticoat front trimmed with ruched gauze and gilt tassles and braid, the bodice trimmed with a spray of artificial red carnations, labelled Elise, 42 Regent St., by special appointment, dressmaker to H.R.H.
