Lot Essay

The initials PI (J) refer to Paschalis Jakubowicz, an Armenian working in Warsaw and in nearby Kipkow between 1788-1794. He was enobled in 1791 and used his coat of arms after that date. This would date this example somewhere between 1788 and 1791.
