A Derby composite Imari-pattern part dinner-service painted in underglaze-blue, iron-red, pink and enriched in gilding with stylised peony alternating with blue panels gilt with foliate ornament and reserved with flowerheads, comprising: a soup-tureen and cover, on richy-gilt lion's mask and paw feet (finial and base to tureen riveted, chip to one foot); six shaped rectangular vegetable-dishes and covers (one cover with rim chip and relanted crack, finial repaired); an oval two-handled shallow dish; a circular footed centre-dish (interior stained); two sauce-tureens, covers and six stands; twenty-two oval serving-dishes and five sizes (two riveted, one cracked, three with rim cracks); nine soup-plates (one with chip to underside of rim, one with chip to footrim); fifty dinner-plates (fifteen with hairline cracks); seventeen dessert-plates (two with hairline cracks to rims)(some staining and rubbing to gilding) various iron-red marks, circa 1820-1830
