A Continental porcelain cylindrical tankard and cover, the finial formed as Cupid kneeling, the handle as an elephant's head and trunk, moulded con basso relievo istoriato with a continuous Classical scene of figures before an altar, possibly a wedding, between borders of winged putti, masks and scrolling foliage, painted in colours and gilt, underglaze blue mark, late 19th Century -- 13¼in. high
