A pair Villeroy & Boch stoneware vases with entwined handles terminating in grotesque masks, each moulded with four oval panels with portrait busts of figures emblematic of the Continents separated by foliage surmounted by satyr masks, moulded with stiff leaf bands and arcaded sections, enriched in muted colours (damaged and repaired to one handle, minor firing faults), impressed marks, pattern no. 1572, late 19th Century -- 16¼in. high
