A late 18th Century microscope compendium by Dollond, comprising solar microscope signed Dollond * London, with internal rack-work motion, adjustable mirror and associated attachments and accessories, the simple/compound microscope with rack-and-pinion adjustment for the body-tube and stage, condenser and concave mirror, on folding tripod stand, a Wilson-type screw-barrel microscope, with associated objectives mounted in brass sliders, numbered 1 & 2, 3 & 4 and 5 & 6, other accessories include ivory and ebony sliders, the later with mineralogical and entomological specimens, glass-bead objective wheel, ivory-tipped tweezers and other items, all in fitted mahogany case -- 17¼in.(44cm.) wide, (restored)
