A George III beaded oval teapot with tapering angular spout, polished wood scroll handle and domed hinged cover with oval finial, later-chased with rococo flowers, foliage and trellis work and with two cartouches, one engraved with a monogram, Hester Bateman, London 1784, incuse mark - 5½in., 13.25oz. gross.
