A late Regency rosewood game's table, in the manner of Gillows, the twin-flap rectangular top with reeded edge enclosing a blue-velvet lined playing surface flanked by bowed ends, each as a hinged compartment, the frieze fitted with a sliding satin-birch-inlaid chessboard, above two drawers, the lowest fitted with a compartmented tray, on turned tapered reeded legs and castors -- 28in. (71cm.) wide, 17in. (43cm.) deep, 30in. (76cm.) high.
