A Napoleon III kingwood, burr-walnut and gilt-metal-mounted jardiniere, inset with Sevres style porcelain plaques, depicting birds of Paradise and flower swags, the galleried rectangular top with a lifting panel, the coffered frieze with rounded angles, centred by a bowed apron on turned tapered partly fluted legs, each headed by a guilloche and wheat-ear collar, on brass caps and castors -- 28in.
