A katana with shortened blade, with pierced and foliate rectangular tsuba, shakudo nanako ground fuchi-kashira decorated in gilt with numerous horses among foliage, and gilt-bronze menuki modelled as horses on a leather bound shagreen hilt, shagreen saya (damages) -- the blade 27¾.in.long, 16th/17th century.
