A late 18th century lacquer bracket clock, the rectangular case painted and heightened in gilt in the chinoiserie taste, the rising domed top surmounted by a handle and pineapple finials, the arched silvered Roman and Arabic dial signed Josph Herring, London, date aperture, Strike/Silent to the arch, the twin fusee movement striking a bell, with foliate incised backplate, with pendulum and key -- 17½in. (44.5cm.) high.
