Merrythought Limited, founded in 1930, is one of the oldest and most prestigious of England's toy manufacturers. The company is now in its sixth decade of designing and manufacturing high quality Teddy Bears and other soft toys for the play and collector market.
Merrythought is still under the ownership of the Holmes family, who developed the company to manufacture toy animals of English mohair, as well as pressed felt dolls.
