'Lord Paul' is one of five replica bears made especially for this sale. The original Dean's bear was purchased in 1992 by Peter Fagan for the Colour Box hug of bears. The first four replica bears in the Limited Edition of five will be presented to Christie's South Kensington, Colour Box, Dean's and The Child Accident Prevention Trust and will not be offered for future sale. No. 5 of this Limited Edition is the only 'Lord Paul' to be offered for sale.
'Lord Paul' has been named after Paul Barthaud, Managing Director of Christie's South Kensington, by his kind permission.
