A George II part spiral-fluted inverted pear-shaped tea caddy on a spreading foot and with a lift-off cover with baluster finial, chased with a frieze of cattle, a satyr holding a ewer, and arabesques, the cover with a frieze of foliage, the underside of the foot later-engraved with an initial with coronet above, maker's mark indistinct, London 1739 - 5½in., 9oz.
