A 19th century French gilt bronze allegorical group of a classically draped female, possibly Juno, shown with a child, holding a crown and mitre, her left hand resting on a shield cast with fleur de lis, the figure of a peacock at her feet, raised on a nimbus -- 15½in. (39.4cm.) high.
