Loosely inserted is a one page letter from St. John Hornby, to an unnamed recipient, dated 1 December 1926, stating: "The 'Inferno' is one of the most difficult to obtain of all my books as there were fewer copies of it printed than the 'Purgatorio' & 'Paradiso', so that some sets are necessarily incomplete." (3)
