A Chinese album containing eight ricepaper paintings variously depicting butterflies and insects, fish, figures at work, boats and figures at artistic pursuits -- each 7¾in.x 12½in., bound in a silk cover painted to the front with a long tailed bird perched on rockwork among scattered sprays of peonies, pomegranates and prunus.
