THE PROPERTY OFTHE LATE DR. ROBERT LE GRICE BURNETT SOLD BY ORDER OF THE EXECUTOR Dr Robert (Bob) Burnett (1912 - 1993) started collecting musical boxes in 1958, and was a founder member of the Musical Box Society of Great Britain. He subsequently served as its President (1966 - 1971). He was particularly interested in snuff and singing bird boxes, but his knowledge of musical boxes of all kinds was extensive, and reflected his unique combination of musicianship with a mechanical and scientific mind.
