Bernard wrote in his journal on September 14th 1954 ...Had it not been for my cover story assignment from 'Redbook' magazine and Marilyn, ten horses could not have drawn me to 'The Seven Year Itch'..I waited three hours in the midst of a yelling, sweating crowd and a bevy of paparazzi... while the famous subway scene was repeated thirty times.....Marilyn discovered me [in the crowd] and winked me over.."Bernie what are you doing here?" she asked...then she added so the whole crew within earshot could hear, "Remember, Bernie, you started it all!"....
