The quest for the Holy Grail represented the theme of the last of the three Indiana Jones' adventures. According to legend, the Holy Grail - the chalice used by Christ during the last supper and into which his blood was caught during the crucifiction - was empowered with the gift of eternal life to whomever drank from it. With the help of his father's lifetime's research, Indiana Jones was able to prevent the Holy Grail from falling into the clutches of the Nazis and to use it to save his mortally wounded father's life.
