A fine Märklin painted tinplate French market 'Gare Centrale' Station, composed of three bays - the central bay with arched ticket hall and mansard corrugated roof, surmounted with telegraph insulators, the two flanking bays with green tiled roofs, dormer windows, etched glass windows and skylights, detailed interior including 'Baggage', 'Salle D'Attente' and 'Buffet' with benches, chairs and tables, other details including various sign boards, a two-sided clock and interior candle holders, the whole station mounted on a painted green plinth with railings, barrier entrances and bell, circa 1909 (G, some paint restoration, clock, one sign board and telegraph insulators replaced, railings broken and repaired) base --31¾in. x 12½in. and --18in. high; and five large scale composition station figures and one wooden figure
