YOUNG, Harding (1876-1964) -- A 2pp. a.l.s. by Young, dated 2 Canterbury Avenue, Southchurch, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, November 5th 1958, to Robin McConnell, relating memories: "I was umpiring when the first New Zealand team arrived, I believe Tom Lowry was Capt. in late 90's & early 1900's no doubt English Cricket was at its Peak, wonderful players had to be left out, the Aussie's were the only ones to play test matches & there is no doubt that Dr. W.G. was a wonder player. I had the pleasure of playing both with him & against. I managed to bowl him out 3 times one season & the last time I played with him at Lord's I bowled 5 out in 6 balls. He had the ball mounted."
