A Kutani part dinner service comprising a pair of oval tureens and domed covers, another smaller, a circular tureen and domed cover, nine graduating oval dishes, an oval basket, three boxes and covers, six dinner plates, five soup plates and eight side plates, all painted and gilt with fan shaped panels of figures at leisure and landscape scenes on a flowerhead strewn ground within iron-red borders reserved in gilt with geometric patterns -- the largest oval dish 20½in. wide.
