A pair of German porcelain candlesticks, the leaf moulded nozzles and drip-pans above waisted and double gourd-shaped stems, applied with scrolling sections surmounted by dog's heads and moulded with female masks, on shaped hexagonal bases terminating in paw feet below dog's heads, painted in colours with sprays of flowers between pink scale ground panels (restoration and wear), painted blue marks, late 19th Century -- 13½in. high
