It is possible this panel maybe the oil sketch 'By the Seas Edge' which belonged to Miss McTaggart and was painted at Machrihanish during the summer of 1882, (Sir James Caw, William McTaggart, R.S.A., R.S.W., Glasgow, 1913, p.249.).
