This pastel closely resembles the painting documented in Monique Le Pelley Fonteny's Léon Augustin Lhermitte, no.103, which was exhibited at J.B Bennett & Sons Ltd., Glasgow, in November 1936 and is now in the possession of Kirkcaldy Museum and Art Gallery, where it is presently on public view.
