A pair of Arita pear shaped bottle vases painted in underglaze blue, coloured enamels and gilt with shaped panels of prunus, pine and further flowers issuing from pierced rockwork on a dark blue ground further decorated with demi florets and scrolling foliage, the necks with stiff leaves and stylised foliage above a band of key fret (one restored, some gilt and enamel rubbing) -- 8¾in. high, circa 1700.
