A Meissen group representing 'Sacrifice and Friendship' after an original by Christian Gottlieb Jüchtzer modelled as a Vestal and Cupid pouring oil onto and garlanding a flaming altar, each wearing typical Classical drapes and robes, above a stepped oval base moulded with paterae and s-scrolls, enriched in colours and gilt, blue crossed swords marks and incised marks, circa 1880 -- 13¾in. high
